Performance Objectives
The role of the Business Development Executive (BDE) is pivotal in executing directions from the Business Development Manager (BDM), generating, and managing quotes independently, and promptly following up on all quotes with persistence.
Their responsibilities also include diligently populating the BDM’s calendar with weekly appointments and proactively engaging with existing accounts to secure orders, ensuring consistent business growth and creating and maintaining customer relationships.

Position Overview
The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for achieving sales and gross profit (GP) targets within their designated area. They manage the sales pipeline, maintain a visit schedule, and follow the strategic direction to the BDE on weekly priorities.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks
Making sales follow up calls- following up on deals
Conducting cold calls- generate appointments and find sales opportunities
Existing Account Calls and Management - Call current customers to bring in orders, maintain regular contact with customers.
The BDE is expected to spot gaps in customer spend and act swiftly by calling the customer.
Calendar Management - Book appointments for Business Development Manager from their request and aligned with the visit schedule for each account and prospect set by the BDM in each territory.
BDM Visit Preparation – The BDE in each territory is responsible for visit preparation for the BDM, by ensuring any relevant information and account updates are communicated effectively to the BDM prior to their visits. They are expected to print of quotes, arrange for samples to be ready and prepare any other information needed for the visits.
CRM Management - Manage and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to effectively track and analyse key account interactions, ensuring accurate records, , and facilitating strategic decision-making to optimise customer and prospect relationships and maximise sales potential
Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS): Follow all processes rigorously to maintain quality management. Always ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards in the workplace and report any issues immediately to the line manager. Similarly, report any breaches in quality or environmental policies promptly
